Taking Flight…

Picture of the Week #96 – Happy Canada Day!

SubscribeFiled Under: Celebrations, Picture of the Week,by Bhakti and Neeraj

At Bharari, we are commemorating Canada Day – the day Canada gained full independence from the UK – by portraying images of some of the wild life seen in Canada’s Lake Ontario, which is one of the largest fresh water lakes in the world.

Seen above are a couple of ducks. The next picture shows one of the most common birds in Canada. Any guesses?

Canada Geese are very common and are sort of trademark birds of Canada – these migratory birds are everywhere in the summer! They fly off to warmer places in a V-shaped flight formation before the onset of winter (thanks, Zhu).

A lone goose in Lake Ontario.

Lake Ontario is also home to the princely Mute Swans.

What a beauty!

Happy Canada Day!
