In this northern Indian state, cannabis or marijuana (or ganja) plants can literally be found on the roadside. I was surprised when I came across these plants on way to Tattapani, which is known (although not well known) for its hot water springs.

This is not a pretty picture.  Something very terrible happened here back on April 13th, 1919.

Do you see the bullet holes on the wall?  This is Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, where the British massacred a few thousand unarmed Indians.

Welcome to Amte’s Animal Ark at Lok Biradari Prakalp, Hemalkasa! Seen here is little Arnav, grandson of Dr. Prakash Amte, playing “horsey” with a fully grown leopard! These leopards are not captive in a zoo, but rather they are orphans whose mother died when they were just babies.
