We are pleased to take part in the weekly Thursday Challenge series organized by SpunWithTears.com. A picture related to a new theme announced each week will be posted here. Today’s theme is the “Mother”.

There’s an old saying, which says, “God could not be everywhere, so he made mothers.” Whether it is in the animal or human world – a mother is everything to her babies.

The series of photos below were taken at Mississauga’s Jack Darling Park. The pictures show a mother duck in Lake Ontario catching up to her cute little ducklings and leading them home.

It is not without reason that Canada is known as The Great White North. Snow is a staple of Canadian Winters and most Canadians will feel something is amiss if it does not snow by Christmas. This photo essay showcases the “white stuff” that most people from warmer countries have come to associate Canada with.

The photos below were taken during or following recent snow storms in the province of Ontario in Canada.

What the…? That was exactly our reaction when we saw this at the LaSalle Park in Burlington, Ontario last summer. What or who are these people taking a picture of?
