Taking Flight…

Video: Canadian Rockies – Trans-Canada Highway

SubscribeFiled Under: Canada, Videos,by Bhakti and Neeraj

This is a scene from the Jasper-to-Edmonton leg of our road trip in the Canadian Rockies. The neatly built Trans-Canada Highway cuts across several national parks and allows us easy access to some of the most beautiful scenery in Canada from the comfort of our own vehicle.

The ongoing “toll” on wildlife of building such a highway should be taken into consideration, however. 99% of animal fatalities within the confines of the national parks occur due to them getting hit by vehicles or the train.

For this reason, the least we can do is be aware of our surroundings and drive at the posted speed limits.
