Video: Lake Louise, Banff National Park

SubscribeFiled Under: Canada, Videos,by Bhakti and Neeraj

Located in Banff National Park, the picturesque emerald-coloured Lake Louise is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Canada. And is it? You be the judge. Here’s a short clipping of the lake.

The emerald colour comes from “rock flour” (consisting of fine-grained silt-sized particles of rock) that is carried into the lake by melted-water from the over-looking glacier.

During our week long Rocky Mountains trip, we visited the lake three times hoping to get a view of the lake with clear skies. However, we had no such luck (actually, only partial luck – more on that in our upcoming report on our Rocky Mountains road trip).

Here is Bhakti’s write-up of our Rockies road-trip in मराठी: “रॉकी पर्वतरांग” … पृथ्वीवरील एक स्वर्ग – भाग १ | भाग २
